About The Position

Galapagos Federal Systems LLC is seeking a Mid Acquisition Management Support position. This role offers the opportunity to collaborate with a diverse and high-performing team dedicated to mission success. The Acquisition Management Support Specialist will support Navy C4I programs by providing comprehensive analytical, logistical, and administrative support to program managers involved in the procurement, development, and sustainment of Navy systems. Responsibilities include contract management, ensuring compliance with the Defense Acquisition Framework, conducting market research, and preparing key acquisition documentation such as Statements of Work (SOWs) to support mission requirements.

Requirements

  • Active Top Secret clearance with SCI eligibility
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience within DoD acquisition organizations supporting ACAT I/II, ACAT III/IV, AAPs, and Adaptive Acquisition Framework pathways (e.g., Software Acquisition, Middle Tier Acquisition)
  • Experience supporting acquisition documentation, including acquisition plans, Statements of Work (SOW), and Justification & Approval (J&A) packages
  • Experience with contract life cycle management and acquisition program support
  • Knowledge of strategic planning and program analysis
  • Experience supporting onboarding processes and managing administrative functions such as travel requests
  • Familiarity with Contract Data Requirements Lists (CDRLs) and deliverable tracking
  • Experience with financial processes, including invoicing for prime and subcontract efforts
  • Understanding of configuration management principles
  • Bachelor’s degree in a business related field

Nice To Haves

  • DAWIA certification in Contracting or Program Management (Level II or III) preferred
  • Verifiable equivalent experience

Responsibilities

  • Develop acquisition plans, draft solicitations, and prepare Performance Work Statements (PWS)
  • Lead negotiations, evaluate proposals, and manage the full solicitation lifecycle
  • Ensure compliance with applicable laws, regulations, and policies governing government contracting
  • Identify and assess potential suppliers, evaluate vendor performance, and maintain strong vendor relationships
  • Conduct market research and cost analysis to support pricing strategies and ensure price reasonableness
  • Identify, assess, and mitigate risks related to contract performance and supply chain operations
