About The Position

Join our Microfabrication team and play a hands-on role supporting the equipment that powers our advanced MEMS, photonics, and microelectronics packaging programs. As an Equipment Process Technician, you’ll help keep our high-tech tools running smoothly performing maintenance, troubleshooting issues, and partnering with engineers to improve yield, reliability, and overall manufacturing performance. You’ll be at the center of innovation, installing, calibrating, and repairing precision equipment, developing preventive maintenance schedules, and supporting continuous improvement efforts. This role also includes collaborating with EHS to ensure safe and compliant operations, coordinating with vendors on tool upgrades, and helping train operators on best practices for equipment use and care. Requirements

  • Possess trouble shooting and problem solving skills.
  • Proficiency in software and control systems for equipment toolsets.
  • Self motivated, inquisitive, and must thrive in a multidisciplinary team environment
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills
  • Associate’s degree in engineering, chemistry, materials science, physics or other relevant field required, Bachelor's degree preferred.
  • 0 3 years experience in MEMS, semiconductor, photonics or advanced fabrication equipment systems including vacuum systems, high voltage systems, chemical handling and high temperature systems is required.

Responsibilities

  • Follows appropriate processes and protocols in the cleanroom environment
  • Performs routine preventative maintenance on equipment.
  • Maintains appropriate records and tracking of tool status, maintenance and issues.
  • Coordinates with environmental, health and safety to ensure safe operation of toolset.
  • Coordinates with process engineers to troubleshoot tool and process issues.
  • Coordinates, schedule and escort vendors on site as necessary.
  • Coordinates with in house facilities and security as necessary.
  • Assists in the installation of new equipment and decommission of outgoing equipment.
  • Responds to emergency situations as they may occur.
  • Performs other duties as assigned
