Principal Duties & Responsibilities: Create a safe workplace Keeps work area clean and orderly and free of hazards Assist with solving production problems Support Engineering trials by coordinating actions, collecting information, following direction from Process Engineers Implement continuous improvement actions Observes functioning of installed equipment to detect hazards, problems, and the need for service, repair and/or replacement of electrical, electronic, and mechanical components. Discusses performance issues and suggests improvement ideas with pertinent technical staff. Assembles experimental processes according to engineering instruction, technical manuals, and knowledge of mechanical and electrical components/systems and their functions. Recommends process changes based on data and experience. Required to conform to change management processes. Understands and utilizes all process related documentation appropriately Understands and is able to trouble-shoot and assist in the repair of the processes in the respective area of responsibility. Analyzes and interprets data to identify process related issues, support daily production, perform root cause analysis and help implement corrective actions. Adjusts, calibrates, and aligns processes in accordance with manufacturers specification, internally generated requirements, or industry best practice. Must support newly installed equipment and ensure system performance meets the target under actual operating conditions.

Requirements

  • Must be able to read, write, and comprehend the English language (i.e., the language of all plant directives) for required document control, equipment operation, and supervisor/peer instructions.
  • Minimum (3) years of experience within a manufacturing environment.
  • Associates / Bachelors degree a Technical field (electrical, mechanical, industrial) or equivalent certification preferred.
  • Must be willing and able to work off shift operations as business conditions require and overtime to complete work as needed.
  • Must be willing to be on call and / or offer remote support to production as needs arise.
  • Must have computer skills, with the capability to use email, Microsoft Word, Excel, Powerpoint with proficiency.
  • Must be able to prepare technical reports for documenting issues/changes to equipment.
  • Employee is responsible for their own work and must exercise care and compliance of all established safety procedures.
  • Must show initiative
  • Employee must adhere to company safety policies (safety shoes, glasses, etc.).

Nice To Haves

  • Project management experience preferred
  • Proven ability to work in teams
  • Alternative to education - Minimum 5 years experience in a technical support role in a manufacturing environment.
