DLO Night Shift Microbiology Specimen Prep Tech I
About The Position
Diagnostic Laboratory of Oklahoma- Oklahoma City, OK 9:30pm-8am; variable hours, rotating holidays and weekends Essential Functions of Employment with DLO: Show up for work, on time & prepared each and every scheduled work day Perform all tasks and processes assigned to you including all tasks and processes you are fully qualified to perform and all tasks and processing that you may be over-qualified to perform Maintain a positive and supportive attitude throughout each and every scheduled work day & work as a collaborative team member with your fellow teammates on a daily basis Data entry and answering phones. Process specimens for laboratory analysis. Process specimens for laboratory analysis. Plates specimens for microbiology testing. May perform initial phases of testing. Works alongside technologists assisting produce patient results. Sorting incoming specimens, prioritizing and immediately processing STAT and other critical tests. Must be able to work in two computer systems proficiently.
Requirements
- Must have good computer skills.
- Demonstrate manual dexterity and attention to detail.
- High School Diploma or higher
- Position requires data background with abilities to enter 6,000 alphanumeric keystrokes/hour
- Works in a biohazard environment, practicing good safety habits
- Able to sit or stand for long periods
- Handles multiple tasks simultaneously and works in a production environment
- Must have the ability to maintain a professional attitude at all times.
- Must be available for scheduled vacation and emergency coverage as needed.
- Must be available to rotate weekend shifts.
