This position works out of our Sturgis, MI location in the Abbott Nutrition division. Our Nutrition business develops science-based nutrition products for people of all ages, from helping babies and children grow to keeping adult bodies strong and active. The Microbiology Lab Data Coordinators compile the data for the environmental monitoring packets needed for product release, complete abtraq tasks required for batch release, daily dynamic swab scheduling to keep us compliant with the consent decree, ship swabs to a third party laboratory for testing, track contractor and leak swabs to keep us compliant for risk assessments, enter results for finished product and non-product contact swabs that were sent to the third party laboratory. They also maintain the micro share point by creating surveys and maintaining the databases, this helps to ensure that the swab site is swabbed in the same spot every time. They must be able to work with fellow technicians, with a high degree of motivation, attention to important details with clear communication to all team members. This is important due to the high degree of responsibility and working within a small group where each person is heavily relied-upon. The data coordinators must also be able to prioritize tasks to efficiently be completed with the most accurate data. You’ll be accountable for meeting our compliance standards including FDA, OSHA and Abbott policies and procedures.
