Microbiologist
About The Position
The Microbiologist reports to the Quality Supervisor. The Microbiologist is responsible for overseeing the implementation, analysis, documentation, and communication of microbial finished product and environmental testing, as well as the quality of incoming raw materials. The Microbiologist is also responsible for assisting with Quality Control activities such as pulling line samples, hold samples, laboratory testing of samples (sodium, total solids, pH, viscosity, package integrity, reagents, calibrations, temperature monitoring), and other assigned duties as determined by the Quality Supervisor or Quality Manager.
Requirements
- Education equivalent to a minimum of a 4-year degree in a relevant field, 5+ years relevant experience (further degrees may be considered in lieu of experience)
- Better Process Control School certified (certification may be gained after hiring)
- Understanding of FDA/USDA regulations regarding manufacturing, excellent organizational, documentation, and communication skills.
