MHS Head Golf Coach - Varsity
About The Position
Coaching is a part-time position and is responsible for the planning, promotion and administration of a quality softball program. Coach will plan and promote athletic practices, schedule transportation, coordinate fundraisers when needed, and other team events. Coach will enforce all school, conference and Arizona Interscholastic Association rules and regulations. The primary focus of the season will be to improve the middle school softball program and to create a strong foundation of skills and leadership for participants. Coach will stress Pursuing Victory with Honor principles during practices and games.
Requirements
- Obtain and maintain a valid Arizona Fingerprint Clearance Card.
- Obtain and maintain First Aide/CPR Certification.
- Coaching experience.
Nice To Haves
- Previous successful coaching experience in the assigned sport.
- CDL License is preferred.
Responsibilities
- Be available to be at practices and games.
- Use Effective teaching and coaching methods to include demonstrations, knowledge of rules and concepts.
- Accept and carryout assigned program
- Communicate effectively with people from varied social, educational, and economic backgrounds.
- Be able to work without constant supervision, make decisions, and have good judgment.
- Have a high level of professional appearance and demeanor.
- Be mature, dependable, and have a willingness to help others and serve as a positive role model for students.
- Model and reinforce Pursuing with Honor's "Six Pillars of Character".
- Make sure eligibility policy is followed.
- Care and inventory of equipment uniforms.
