About The Position

Reporting to the Director, Tribal Brand & Community Advancement, the Manager, Tribal Brand plays an important role within the team, supporting the execution of brand and sponsorship initiatives that reflect the Yuhaaviatam of San Manuel Nation vision, voice and identity across internal, external, and Tribal Community touchpoints. Oversees day-to-day operations of the tribes branding project and community sponsorship activities. This role ensures adherence to brand standards and effective communication with internal stakeholders.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in business administration or applicable degree required; master’s degree preferred.
  • Minimum five (5) years of experience in marketing, branding, public relations, or similar field required. Experience working in/with Tribal Governments preferred.
  • Minimum three (3) years of direct supervisor experience is required.
  • Related, relevant, and/or direct experience may be considered in lieu of minimum educational requirements indicated above.
  • Skills in service provision and relationship management
  • Able to communicate well in all aspects of communications which includes written, oral, listening, presenting and expressing ideas
  • Ability to multi-task with strong organizational skills and ability to work well under deadlines required
  • Advanced level experience with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) required
  • Must be highly organized, detail-oriented and able to handle multiple projects and deadlines simultaneously
  • Familiarity with marketing project management software (i.e. WorkFront)
  • Ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks/projects to support multiple high-level executive positions and multiple marketing/entertainment verticals under his/her purview
  • At the discretion of the San Manuel Tribal Gaming Commission, you may be required to obtain and maintain a gaming license.
  • Authorized Driver: Role requires operation or driving of Tribe-owned vehicles or driving patron vehicles. A valid driver’s license with an acceptable driving record as determined by the insurance carrier is required.

Responsibilities

  • Manages the Tribal Brand and Sponsorships team, overseeing daily operations, workflow, and responsibilities to support brand and sponsorship initiatives.
  • Collaborates with department leaders, Shared Services, brand agency, and team members to streamline processes and support efficient delivery of marketing and sponsorship initiatives.
  • Implements brand and sponsorship plans in alignment with department objectives, ensuring timely execution of campaigns and projects.
  • Leads and monitors marketing projects and sponsorship deliverables, ensuring compliance with brand standards and partner agreements.
  • Manages and reports on project budgets and expenses for Tribal Brand and Sponsorships, ensuring accuracy and adherence to approved financial guidelines.
  • Manage inquiries and requests from internal stakeholders and Tribal partners, ensuring timely, accurate, and brand-aligned information that supports the execution of Tribal branding and community sponsorship initiatives.
  • Ensures strict compliance with brand guidelines and sponsorship agreements, working with internal teams and external partners as needed.
  • Cultivates relationships with sponsorship partners, overseeing fulfillment of contractual obligations and coordinating marketing activations tied to sponsorship agreements.
  • Performs other duties as assigned to support the efficient operation of the department.
