About The Position

Trains and supervises Huntsville Hospital security personnel. Responsible for training the entire hospital system on safety & security related topics. Manages the operations of the Security Department, to include scheduling, counseling, and disciplining of personnel while ensuring a safe and secure environment for patients, visitors and staff.

Requirements

  • Education required: High School diploma or GED
  • License, Certification and or Registration: Must possess a driver’s license and be insurable by HH standards.
  • Must have the following within 90 days of employment: Heart Saver CPR certification ; Management of Aggressive Behavior (MOAB); HR Management Series completed (12-months)
  • Experience: Minimum of 3-5 years supervisory in a comparable clinical, security or parking operation.
  • Additional Skills/Abilities: Must be able to work in a fast paced environment, requiring prioritizing and changing tasks frequently and quickly.
  • Excellent customer service and communication skills with the ability to enforce policies in an assertive, yet courteous, manner needed.
  • Must possess computer skills with ability to use Microsoft Office applications.

Nice To Haves

  • Education preferred: Prefer Bachelor degree in law, law enforcement or clinical field.
  • Experience in health care setting preferred.
