Basic Purpose Manages operations at power generation facilities ensuring safe, reliable, efficient, compliant, and economic operations. Manages and allocates financial and employee resources that are in alignment with Company strategies. Leads the department by reinforcing a collaborative and adaptable workforce. Implement and support Company and Business Unit programs and policies. Essential Education, Skills, and Environment Education and Work Experience Bachelor's degree from an accredited school and 6 years of related experience including 3 years in a supervisory capacity. Candidates that do not possess a bachelor's degree must have a minimum of 10 years of related work experience including 3 years in a supervisory capacity. Specialized Knowledge and Skills Demonstrated knowledge of: Generating plant operations, maintenance, and training. OSHA and environmental regulations. Demonstrated skill such as: Problem solving, negotiation and risk management skills, Written and oral communications skills. Equipment and Applications PCs, word processing, spreadsheet, and database software. Work Environment and Physical Demands Requires work near moving parts, with toxic or caustic chemicals, in outdoor weather conditions, and near extreme heat. Some exposure to loud noises required.
