About The Position

Lead teams that provide development and support for operations systems and operations technology using scaled agile methodology. Develop Epic Value statements and user stories and analysis for system enhancements and new technology. Responsible for efficient and well-designed solutions. Make recommendations for system enhancements and new systems. Single point of contact for all reporting for systems improvements for a designated operating area. Lead the operations systems team to develop creative solutions for field operations and support the efforts of OP&E and Cross-Opco initiatives. Manage and lead the SAFe governance process; lead strategic process improvements projects.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent work experience in Business, Industrial Engineering, Transportation or related field
  • Five (5) years’ experience in applied industrial engineering concepts and technology in Less Than Truckload (LTL) transportation industry in which three (3) of those years in a lead capacity as a project business owner
  • Knowledge of company policies and procedures and all computer systems used by operations preferred
  • Knowledge of statistical software
  • Working knowledge of mapping applications
  • Strong quantitative, analysis and problem solving skills
  • Solid leadership, time management, organizational and interpersonal skills
  • Experience and ability to use Microsoft Office Software, including but not limited to; Word, Excel, and Outlook
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to work independently and as a team member
  • Must be able to travel
  • Hours may vary due to operational need

Responsibilities

  • Select, educate, develop and lead employees; including performance evaluations, one-on-ones, coaching and employee engagement
  • Manage Operations System Process to ensure support product is delivered to cross-opco initiatives, operations and sales management teams
  • Manage, develop and track operational process improvement requests from concept to implementation
  • Manage creation of new Safe work requests in accordance with operations leaders
  • Manage development of ad hoc reports and provide data for corporate initiatives and specific division long range planning
  • Manage and participate in evaluation and deployment of new technology for operations management
  • Lead effort of creating analysis of work requests and cost benefits for the Portfolio Kanban
  • Research and define technology solutions to enhance customer service and/or operational efficiencies
  • Comply with all applicable laws/regulations, as well as company policies/procedures
  • Perform other assignments (or duties) as required
