About The Position

Plans, organize and control the launch, control room functions, international functions or offload Ensures a high level of service and on-time launch at a minimal cost. Directs all other necessary activities which provide optimum service to FedEx express customers.

Requirements

• Two (2) years college/equivalent.
• Five (5) years business experience, preferably including two (2) years related experience in transportation industry.
• Dangerous goods: Ability to successfully complete DG specialist training and to interpret legal documentation regarding hazardous shipments.
• Must successfully complete W/B training if managing any trunk ramp agents.
• Strong basic management, human relations and communication skills.
• If applicable, bilingual communication skills (French/German/Spanish and English) preferred.
• FAA covered safety sensitive position.
• Subject to regulatory alcohol & drug testing, which includes testing for marijuana, PCP, amphetamines, cocaine & opioids.
• Ability to work in a constant state of alertness and in a safe manner.
• High School diploma/GED.
• One year experience in FedEx supervisory/lead roles, ex. Ramp agent/Ops Lead/Team Lead OR
• Two years management experience (for external candidates) OR
• Completion of a certified internal leadership development program, including AiM. OR
• Bachelor's degree OR
• Twelve months general FedEx operations experience
• Strong basic management, human relations and communication skills.
• Ability to lift 50 lbs.
• Ability to maneuver packages of any weight above 50 lbs with appropriate equipment and/or assistance from another person.
• Must meet qualifications as outlined in section 391 of the federal motor carrier safety regulations.
• Must successfully complete weight and balance training if managing any trunk ramp agents.
