About The Position

THIS JOB DESCRIPTION DOES NOT ATTEMPT TO LIST ALL OF THE DUTIES THAT ARE OR MAY BE PERFORMED IN THIS POSITION Primary Duties 1. Manages HR compliance programs and procedures in accordance with government agencies and their related regulatory requirements, which include but are not limited to: FMCSA, PHMSA, DOL, HHS, OSHA, & USCIS. 2. Ensures HR policies and guidelines are maintained, relevant and compliant, meeting overall business objectives. Develops and presents regulatory compliance strategy to ensure internal policies and practices are aligned with applicable laws, regulations, ordinances, and codes. 3. Leads Affirmative Action Planning (AAP) to include developing strategy and executing action plans. Partners with Division HR to suggest areas of focus and influence outcomes. 4. Oversees administration of the drug & alcohol testing program to include being named as the designated employer representative. Serves as the primary contact point with State Utility Commissions, PHMSA and FMSCA for audits related to the program. 5. Maintains and ensures compliance with procedure for accessing, reviewing, and auditing personnel files and other sensitive records. Ensures compliance with the Privacy Act, to include ensuring medical records are maintained in a separate, secure, and confidential location. 6. Oversees vendor relationships in accordance with contracts, company policies and guidelines. Identifies and addresses gaps in vendor performance to resolve issues in a timely manner. 7. Selects, develops, motivates, and evaluates the performance of employees. Provides coaching and feedback to employees to address performance shortfalls. Creates and documents efficient and sustainable processes. MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS Educational/Experience Level: Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration or a related field and six years of experience in in HR Compliance, employment law, and affirmative action programs; or equivalent. Communication Skills: Requires the ability to communicate, persuade and/or influence internal and/or external customers at all levels on matters of a technical and/or complex nature. Numeric Skills: Requires the ability to apply research methods, and/or advanced statistical and/or accounting methods. Computer Skills: Requires basic computer skills in order to utilize various software applications for developing documents, reports, presentations, and graphics. Work Conditions: Works in an office environment. Requires occasionally performing activities including, but not limited to, bending, stooping, grasping, reaching, twisting, turning and/or lifting. Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration or a related field and six years of experience in in HR Compliance, employment law, and affirmative action programs; or equivalent.
  • Requires the ability to communicate, persuade and/or influence internal and/or external customers at all levels on matters of a technical and/or complex nature.
  • Requires the ability to apply research methods, and/or advanced statistical and/or accounting methods.
