About The Position

This benchmark is intended to be used by companies that have generic classifications engaged in research and/or product development encompassing primarily one or more of the following engineering disciplines: electronics, electrical, mechanical, and/or chemical. Responsible for leading the Quality Assurance engineering group responsible for managing quality processes and procedures regarding structural fitting, welding, and fabrication. The team will work closely with the trades and support both submarines and aircraft carrier construction and repair. Candidate should have excellent communication and critical-thinking skills, and be inquisitive with a willingness to learn and a desire to solve problems while working with all levels from individual contributor to director level and in all functional areas of the company.

Requirements

Bachelor's Degree and 6 years of progressive technical experience in research, engineering and design
Master's Degree and 4 years of relevant experience.
Newport News Shipbuilding requires a Bachelor's Degree in engineering from an ABET accredited program.
Accredited Engineering Degree

Responsibilities
