About The Position
E50 Propulsion and Reactor Engineering Planning Yard (PREPY) is seeking a leader to supervise the engineering team responsible for producing units of the CVN78 Class Propulsion Plant Manual, used by the fleet for operating and maintaining the ship’s propulsion plant systems. PREPY functions as a Planning Yard for NAVSEA and provides life cycle maintenance, modernization, and engineering support to the fleet and shipyards performing aircraft carrier construction and maintenance.
Requirements
- Bachelor's Degree and 6 years of progressive technical experience in research, engineering and design
- Master's Degree and 4 years of relevant experience
- Newport News Shipbuilding requires a Bachelor's Degree in engineering from an ABET accredited program

- Familiarity with NNPP propulsion plant systems including knowledge of steam and electric plants.
