About The Position

The MGR CPM Scheduler 2 plans, prepares, issues, and controls production schedules, coordinating with material requirements to ensure a controlled flow of approved materials timed to meet production needs. This role involves advising management on work-in-progress status, material availability, and potential production problems to ensure adequate provision of personnel, equipment, materials, and services. The scheduler is responsible for scheduling equipment and personnel, confirming material supply and demands, and preparing work orders or purchase requests based on master production schedules, shop load, and inventory requirements. Additionally, the position coordinates interdepartmental activities with quality assurance, manufacturing, purchasing, engineering, inventory control, and traffic, and schedules and expedites the movement of parts through move orders, stock transfers, and shipping requests.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree and 6 years of applicable, progressive technical, professional and/or supervisory work experience.
  • A combination of education and experience may be used in lieu of degree.

Nice To Haves

  • Proficiency with Primavera or Project scheduling tools.
  • MS Office Suite including Power Point, Excel, and Word.
  • Knowledge of IMS Schedules and Post Delivery/Planning Yard processes and procedures.
  • Ability to interpret engineering blueprints and technical documents.
  • Prior management or leadership exp.

Responsibilities

  • Coordinates interdepartmental activity with quality assurance, manufacturing, purchasing, engineering, inventory control, traffic, etc.
  • Schedules and expedites the movement of parts by means of move orders, stock transfers and requests for shipping orders.
