About The Position

Lead BCU efforts in developing, maintaining, and leveraging select key community relationships and strategic partnerships with the goal of growing BCU’s visibility and reach to generate engaged new members. This role will provide strategic execution of community business development plans and efforts for our community branch locations.

Requirements

  • College Degree preferred.
  • Eight years of overall business experience with five or more years in a leadership role, preferably business development and/or Financial Institution experience.
  • Proficiency in presentation skills, analyzing data to provide recommended business changes, and strategic thinking.
  • Results-oriented and ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Strong problem solving and analytical abilities.
  • Excellent professional interpersonal and leadership skills.
  • Demonstrated success in creating, executing, and measuring operational programs and results.
  • Demonstrated aptitude for online, mobile and desktop technologies.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage financial budget.
  • Ability to think proactively and initiate and execute projects.
  • Must be energetic and self-motivated with outstanding initiative.
  • Must be a person of high integrity who is always dependable and professional.
  • Local travel required and will need to work some weekends.

Responsibilities

  • Responsible for leading a team to grow engaged new members within key community markets through strategic partnerships and relationships.
  • Lead efforts alongside the Community Retail Branch Director to effectively execute a strategic plan for growth, both within the branch network and with other business partners in the Community.
  • Facilitate regular check-in meetings with community partner contacts.
  • Drive credit union adoption and engagement with community partners and opportunities.
  • Identify community contacts important to BCU goal attainment and proactively establish and maintain strong relationships that ultimately generate value for BCU members via access to their employees or network.
  • Plan and facilitate promotional and educational on-site events, targeted campaigns and other programs which meet and exceed member growth and engagement for assigned community goals.
  • Contribute to marketing strategy development across all BCU member segments, and especially to non-members.
  • Prepare and present periodic reviews of credit union value and relevance to community contacts, leaders such as Board Members, and BCU management.
  • Act as first stop for any community partner questions, requests, or needs on the community partner side.
  • Assist in uncovering growth opportunities for BCU that drive engaged new member growth through efforts with community partners and community employers.
  • Work with the service delivery functions to meet and exceed loyalty (NPS) goals.
  • Partner with Talent Acquisition to attract and hire top talent. Consult and collaborate with HR regarding all performance management scenarios.
  • Work with internal technology partners to maintain current protocol and reliability of device management.
  • Responsible for maintaining consistent and relevant communication to assigned branches through internal company communication channels.
  • Collaboratively work with the regional team to provide consistent communications to the Branch Leadership team on results, pertinent business updates and value-add content, including Quarterly Business Reviews.
  • Develop and manage a marketing and business development budget for community growth efforts.
  • Review and assess organizational systems and processes to ensure the profitable growth of the branch network.
  • Keep abreast of changes/trends in the industry to remain relevant and competitive. Evaluate existing and potential Business Partners based on business need and strategic fit and make recommendations to the Community Retail Branch Director.
  • Assist in special projects.
  • Other duties as assigned.
