Serves as the front-of-house facility owner and education leader for JEA's facility tours and on-site learning experiences. This role is accountable for all public-facing operations, including tours, education programs, facility activities, budgets, partnerships, security coordination, and the overall performance of JEA's flagship H2.0 Water Purification & Education Center, as well as future education and engagement facilities. This position's primary responsibility is to ensure the successful operation of the H2.0 Visitor Center, delivering education, community engagement, and corporate experiences that foster understanding, transparency, and trust in JEA's water, wastewater, reuse, electric, and infrastructure programs. Working closely with internal departments and external partners, this role provides strategic oversight and operational leadership to ensure a safe, high-quality, and mission-aligned visitor experience at H2.0 and all JEA facilities. Oversees the education of customers, stakeholders, and partners on the mission, vision, and operating model of H2.0. Establish, implement, and enforce policies governing public access, safety, bookings, education programs, and overall visitor safety strategies for events. Serve as JEA's single point of accountability for all front-of-house operations and public activity at the facility. Serve as JEA's primary venue manager for H2.0-hosted activities, including educational programs, school tours, employee events, community meetings, media events, partner engagements, executive briefings, Board-related events, and public education days. Manage the full event lifecycle, including intake, prioritization, scheduling, space allocation, staffing, security coordination, AV/lighting, exhibits, catering, accessibility, and post-event reporting for H2.0 and future educational facilities. Oversee on-site event-day operations and troubleshoot operational, technical, or visitor-related issues. Own and manage all front-of-house budgets, vender service contracts, and related equipment. Oversee exhibits, audiovisual systems, theaters, lighting, interactive stations, water tables, tasting stations, and visitor technology. Track facility utilization, cost-per-visitor, and return-on-investment metrics to support planning and decision-making. Serve as the primary venue liaison for JEA Security, contracted security providers, and local law enforcement. Own escalation procedures and incident-response protocols. Establish staffing models, schedules, training standards, and performance expectations. Lead coordination with H2.0 Operations and relevant internal departments- including Engineering, Environmental, Marketing, Communications, Government Relations, Security, Facilities, and Community Engagement & Project Outreach in support of H2.0 and other education and engagement facilities. Ensure all public-facing programs accurately reflect operational conditions, regulatory requirements, and JEA strategy. Represent JEA and H2.0 on regional, state, and national water and wastewater boards and professional organizations, as assigned. Work with JEA's grant team on grant applications, research partnerships, and award submissions aligned with education and innovation goals. Define performance measures for tours, events, education programs, and facility utilization. Approve visitor survey frameworks and success metrics. Review and distribute executive dashboards and reports. Integrate H2.0 into ambassador programs, community events, capital project outreach, and school partnerships. Plan, organize, train, coach, direct, and evaluate the performance of assigned staff, establishing performance requirements and personal development targets aligned with the JEA Scorecard and Strategic Initiatives, monitoring performance, and providing direction for performance improvement and development. Participate in JEA's strategic planning processes. Develop, manage, and administer budgets for assigned area. Participate in the development of team goals and objectives; develop tactical plans to achieve success and manages the tracking of progress and execution. Stay abreast of and comply with local, state, and federal legal requirements by studying existing and new legislation. Provide leadership and example in meeting JEA's safety and wellness goals. Project management principles. Perform other job-related duties as assigned.
