About The Position

Children’s Minnesota is one of the largest pediatric health systems in the United States, providing care exclusively to children from before birth through young adulthood. It is an independent, not-for-profit system since 1924, serving kids throughout the Upper Midwest at two free-standing hospitals, nine primary care clinics, multiple specialty clinics, and seven rehabilitation sites. The corporate compliance department is committed to promoting an ethical culture at Children's Hospitals and Clinics by ensuring integrity in business practices, providing continuous education, and promoting collaborative relationships with all customers. The Accreditation and Licensing Manager is a vital position within Children's system, responsible for ensuring compliance with regulatory and accrediting bodies. This role involves planning, designing, implementation, and maintenance of the hospital's accreditation and licensing status. The manager ensures that the hospital and all services included in the State of Minnesota license are in continual readiness status for surveys by The Joint Commission (TJC), Department of Health Services (DHS), and Centers for Medicare and Medicaid (CMS). This position is responsible for overall continual regulatory readiness and compliance with all standards of accreditation and certification, and acts as the primary liaison with external surveyors and other regulatory representatives.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree required
  • Minimum 5 years in accreditation and compliance experience required
  • Regulatory and accreditation experience required
  • Strong written, verbal and listening skills
  • Strong analytical skills
  • Project management skills
  • Ability to read regulations and accreditation standards
  • Ability to work with varying levels of leadership
  • Ability to utilize data to develop dashboards
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office tools (Word, Excel, Powerpoint, Teams)
  • Experience with Compliance 360 or similar GRC tools

  • Healthcare accreditation strongly preferred

Responsibilities
