About The Position

The Manufacturing Engineering Manager oversees all aspects of the manufacturing engineering process and supervises manufacturing engineers supporting aerospace, maritime, electronics and manufacturing operations.

Requirements

Bachelor's degree in either Industrial or Mechanical Engineering
8+ years experience preferred, 2+ years as a Lead or Supervisor
Well-versed in relevant software (e.g. CAD, MS Office)
Combination of coursework and experience, or else related professional experience, is acceptable for consideration
Must be a US Person

Nice To Haves

Experience in aerospace, maritime, or electronics manufacturing preferred
Experience in Siemens NX and Simulation Software
Defense industry experience a plus
Knowledge of manufacturing processes, fabrication methods and tool design preferred

Responsibilities

Provide key support in actively improving and driving processes and productivity across aerospace, maritime, and electronics manufacturing lines
Improve and support current manufacturing, documentation and processes metrics
Collaborate with product design teams to achieve design for manufacturability
Implement and maintain methods, operation sequence and processes in the manufacturing or fabrication of parts, components, sub-assemblies and final assemblies
Interface with design engineering in coordinating the release of new products
Estimate manufacturing cost, determine time standards and make recommendations for tooling and process requirements of new or existing product lines
Oversee records and reporting systems for coordination of manufacturing operations
Work with program management to ensure facility and processes support new programs and business development
Develop strategies for insourcing and contract manufacturing initiatives
Build and coach a staff who are sufficient and qualified to successfully perform all assigned duties. Utilize best management practices in accordance with Human Resources
