About The Position

Extreme Engineering Solutions (X-ES) is looking for a detail-oriented Metrology Technician to ensure our products meet all quality standards. This day shift team member will assist with monitoring the calibrated equipment system, including maintaining the equipment database and records, coordinating both on-site and off-site calibrations, and performing on-site equipment verifications.

Requirements

• Graduation from an accredited high school (or valid General Educational Development certificate).
• Computer proficiency and a high level of organization with strong attention to detail.
• Ability to work efficiently and independently while troubleshooting and problem-solving.
• Ability to work onsite from our facility located at 9901 Silicon Prairie Parkway in Verona, WI.

Nice To Haves

• Ability to frequently lift 50+ pounds.
• Proficient in Microsoft applications. Excel, Word, etc.
• Calibration Technician Certification, Associate's degree Engineering or Electronics, or equivalent related work experience preferred.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Proactive attitude during challenging situations.
• Effective problem-solving skills and critical-thinking skills.
• General understanding of calibration technology.
• Ability to collaborate and work well in a team environment.
• Strong ownership mentality over tasks and projects.

Responsibilities

• Maintains the calibration database and records.
• Supports on-site and off-site equipment calibrations.
• Performs on-site equipment verifications.
• Supports equipment purchases, RMAs, and repairs.
• Maintains department reports and metrics.
• Supports the equipment needs of multiple cross functional teams.
• Analyzes and interprets test data and trends.
• Communicate with internal customers about the status of their equipment.
• Support, investigate, and document equipment out of specification and failures instances.
• Write and update verification procedures.
