This role is on 12-hour Days, two days on, two days off and every other weekend Fri-Sat-Sun

Requirements

  • Associates Degree or Technical Degree in mathematical, scientific, or quality discipline preferred
  • Minimum of two years of quality inspection experience, some of which should be in a Quality or Metrology related field
  • Or equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Ability to read and write English and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating instructions, procedures, blueprints and engineering sketches
  • Ability to precisely and accurately complete documentation requirements
  • Ability to do advanced mathematical computations
  • Demonstrate advanced computer skills with experience in Microsoft products (Excel, Word and Power Point)
  • Excellent communication, organizational skills and attention to detail

Nice To Haves

  • Statistical Process Control experience, desirable
  • Lean Six Sigma experience, desirable

Responsibilities

  • Inspects, measures and tests components per blueprint and Product Plan requirements or from engineering sketches, generates data summaries and reports.
  • Monitors data using applicable software.
  • Uses optical comparators, CMM, AVANT, caliper, micrometer, drop indicator, surface plate and other applicable measuring equipment.
  • Works as a team with Lead Metrologist, Metrology Technicians, Quality Inspectors, Quality Engineers, support teams and Quality Manager to ensure effective development and implementation of the Product Plans.
  • Provides training, as needed.
  • Summarize measurement data into a report for shipments to customer
  • Participates in process validation activities
  • Works from written and verbal instructions
  • Performs data entry tasks, as required
  • Provides coverage for In-process inspection and testing.
  • Support all company safety and quality programs and initiatives.
  • Other responsibilities may be assigned as needed based on the requirements of the department.
