The KBR Metrology team supports manufacturing, engineering & test, repair & overhaul, and aftermarket service centers globally in support of Aerospace & Defense, Automotive, Medical, Safety, Semiconductor and other industries. Our support includes services such as complete management of embedded metrology systems, calibration and repair, test & inspection, metrology engineering, preventive maintenance, NADCAP special process support, and AMS2750 Heat Treat pyrometry services and more. Our teams are located across the globe working in KBR and customer embedded laboratories as well as performing onsite visits with our field service operations and mobile laboratory platforms. Our teams work to ensure our customer systems are maintained to high standards through calibration, preventative maintenance, automation and programming, calibration recall system management, and audit support. We ensure great customer experience by tracking and providing performance and delivery metrics through digital dashboards, as well as routine customer service surveys and direct customer meetings. Metrology Technician is responsible for performing routine calibrations, tests and/or inspections in-lab or on-site using accredited standards and taking care of the day-to-day escalations and priority requests. Calibrations, tests and inspections may be performed with and/or without automation. Calibration of metrology lab standards as required. The position requires fluency in calibration, test, and/or inspection procedures and processes, and hands-on experience with setting up test equipment calibration systems. Metrology Technician may be required to provide assistance to entry level technicians as they learn new measurement procedures and processes. This role will report to the lead technician and lab manager.
