About The Position

Position Summary: Perform functions to manage measurement service operations and Enhanced Services employees in the Metrology Service Center, provide metrology programming as a service, and measure customer parts in compliance with ISO/IEC 17025 requirements. Requirements

  • Minimum 2-year technical degree or equivalent experience. 4-year technical degree preferred.
  • 7-10 years of experience as a Programmer.
  • Proficient in three product lines.
  • Knowledge of aerospace, automotive, and medical industry specifications
  • Ability to program from 2D prints and 3D CAD models
  • Experience with FAI and PPAP processes
  • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills
  • Proficiency in GD&T and ASME Y14.5M-2009 standards
  • Understanding of SPC principles
  • Excellent customer service and communication skills
  • Strong time management and organizational

Responsibilities

  • Manage measurement service operations and Enhanced Services employees at the Metrology Service Center.
  • Participate in the development of departmental goals, objectives, policies, and procedures.
  • Ensure compliance with company policies, procedures, and the Quality Manual.
  • Participate in development of measurement parts programs using Mitutoyo software and metrology equipment, including coordinate measuring machines (CMM), vision systems, and form instruments.
  • Develop and implement measurement methods based on engineering design (GD&T) and available equipment.
  • Perform part inspections, analyze measurement data, and prepare reports in compliance with ISO/IEC 17025 standards.
  • Train and mentor metrology programmers and technicians.
  • Communicate with customers and support quotation activities for metrology programming and measurement services.
  • Partner with the Sales Department to support product demonstrations, customer training, and open house events at the facility.
  • Maintain control and calibration of all measuring equipment in accordance with ISO/IEC 17025 requirements, in collaboration with the Corporate Quality Manager.
  • Assist with the preparation and submission of departmental reports.
