Primary Responsibilities Focus Areas: 3D Scanning, Digital Image Correlation, Reverse Engineering Perform 3D scanning utilizing structured light, laser, and other optical metrology equipment (Smarttech3D, ATOS, Hexagon, Leica) Perform Digital Image Correlation data capture on hardware and material tests Perform component inspections utilizing Control X, and GOM Inspect software and GD&T best practices Generate parametric and surface 3D models utilizing Geomagic Design X and Geomagic Wrap based on design intent and/or customer requirements Generate design drawings and system schematics; conduct analyses to support and substantiate design approaches Perform design of tooling and fixturing, prototype hardware, and system assemblies Qualifications Education & Experience Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or a related technical field (or equivalent practical experience) 2–5+ years of experience in 3D scanning, metrology, quality inspection, or related applications (adjust based on seniority) Experience working in manufacturing environments such as automotive, aerospace, medical devices, or industrial equipment preferred Technical Skills Hands-on experience with 3D scanning technologies (e.g., structured light, laser scanning, or photogrammetry) Proficiency in metrology and inspection software (e.g., PolyWorks, Geomagic, or similar) Strong understanding of GD&T (Geometric Dimensioning & Tolerancing) Ability to interpret engineering drawings and CAD models Experience with CAD software (e.g., SolidWorks, CATIA, NX, or similar) Knowledge of quality control processes and standards (ISO, ASME, etc.) Familiarity with reverse engineering workflows is a plus Problem-Solving & Application Skills Ability to develop and optimize inspection workflows for customers Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills for measurement and scanning challenges Experience conducting product demonstrations, evaluations, and proof-of-concepts Ability to translate customer requirements into technical solutions Communication & Customer Interaction Strong verbal and written communication skills Experience working directly with customers in technical sales, support, or applications roles Ability to present technical concepts clearly to both technical and non-technical audiences Willingness to travel (typically 25–50%) for on-site support, demos, and training Additional Qualifications Experience with automation or robotic scanning systems is a plus Basic programming or scripting (Python, MATLAB, or similar) is a plus Self-motivated with strong organizational and time management skills Ability to work independently and as part of a cross-functional team This is full-time salaried position with full benefits offered. Approximately 25-50% of travel is expected. Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or a related technical field (or equivalent practical experience)
  • 2–5+ years of experience in 3D scanning, metrology, quality inspection, or related applications (adjust based on seniority)
  • Hands-on experience with 3D scanning technologies (e.g., structured light, laser scanning, or photogrammetry)
  • Proficiency in metrology and inspection software (e.g., PolyWorks, Geomagic, or similar)
  • Strong understanding of GD&T (Geometric Dimensioning & Tolerancing)
  • Ability to interpret engineering drawings and CAD models
