About The Position

Rivian is on a mission to keep the world adventurous forever. This goes for the emissions-free Electric Adventure Vehicles we build, and the curious, courageous souls we seek to attract. As a company, we constantly challenge what’s possible, never simply accepting what has always been done. We reframe old problems, seek new solutions and operate comfortably in areas that are unknown. Our backgrounds are diverse, but our team shares a love of the outdoors and a desire to protect it for future generations. We are seeking a highly skilled Metrology Engineer to serve as the technical lead for our dimensional inspection and measurement strategies. This is not a "lab-only" role; we are looking for a proactive problem-solver who uses advanced metrology tools to diagnose and resolve complex manufacturing issues directly on the production floor. You will be responsible for creating high-level programming, mentoring junior technicians, and representing the metrology department on high-stakes, multi-disciplinary projects. This role will report to the Sr. Process Engineering Manager on site at our Normal IL facility.
