Requirements

  • Must possess appropriate FCC license
  • A combination of twenty-four months documented experience, including both electrical and hydraulic, involving repairing, maintaining, calibrating, and testing industrial instrumentation and test equipment with equipment traceable to national standards. Common equipment to be serviced may consist of temperature and pressure gauges, manometers, rotometers, processing timers, and electrical/electronic test instruments.
  • OR Completed PMEL (Precision Measurement Equipment Laboratory) training from a branch of the U. S. Armed Forces and six months experience calibrating Test, Measurement and Diagnostic Equipment (TMDE).
  • Must be able to perform physically demanding activities. Frequent lifting of various weights is required. Those with lifting and/or walking limitations may not qualify for this position.

Responsibilities

  • Perform periodic inspection, repair, and calibration of pneumatic, force, temperature, humidity, acoustic, vibration, and electronic instruments.
  • Utilize traceable standards and maintain primary and secondary calibration records.
  • Fabricate and maintain shop‑aids and test fixtures for instrumentation verification.
  • Collaborate with engineering and test personnel to identify design issues and recommend improvements.
  • Ensure compliance with FCC licensing requirements and strict tolerance specifications.
