Raye IT is seeking an experienced Metrics Analyst to provide high‑impact communications metrics, analytics, and strategic insights in support of the agency's Office of Legislative and Public Affairs. This position plays a pivotal role in helping the office evaluate, refine, and optimize its national communication and engagement strategies through data‑driven analysis. As a Metrics Analyst, you will support the agency's leadership, communications staff, and media teams by creating measurement frameworks, analyzing performance data, and producing dashboards and reports that shape outreach campaigns across digital, policy, scientific, and public‑facing platforms.

Requirements

  • Minimum of 8 years of experience developing communication strategies and products for science‑focused organizations.
  • Minimum of 8 years of experience developing and applying metrics to measure communication effectiveness.
  • Degree in relevant field of study.
  • Strong background analyzing digital engagement, media coverage, outreach efforts, and stakeholder behaviors.
  • Demonstrated ability to prepare clear, concise evaluation and performance reports for senior leadership.
  • Ability to collaborate effectively in a multidisciplinary communications environment.
  • Security Clearance Requirement: Public Trust

Responsibilities

  • Develop and support audience‑specific communication and engagement plans that integrate performance metrics.
  • Assist in designing cohesive strategies that coordinate written, digital, and multimedia communication products.
  • Incorporate audience feedback and performance results to help refine communication campaigns.
  • Collect, track, and analyze data on web campaigns, social media performance, events, press coverage, and other outreach activities.
  • Measure attitudes and behaviors of key audiences including policymakers, Congress, public, industry, and the scientific community.
  • Evaluate the effectiveness of communication plans and outreach activities, producing clear written reports for leadership.
  • Create dashboards, visualizations, and trend analyses to summarize key performance indicators and insights.
  • Identify opportunities to improve engagement and inform strategic decision‑making.
  • Work closely with writers, editors, and digital media staff to ensure metrics and insights support future content development.
  • Participate in regular meetings with program leadership and provide required monthly and biweekly reporting.
  • Maintain awareness of best practices in digital analytics, media monitoring, and performance evaluation.
