About The Position

This role is at Spirit AeroSystems, Inc. a wholly owned subsidiary of The Boeing Company, supporting Spirit’s Commercial Business Units (“Spirit Commercial”). Spirit Commercial designs and builds commercial aerostructures, including for Boeing Commercial Airplanes, one of Boeing’s three business units and the premier manufacturer of commercial jetliners for decades. Spirit Commercial’s core products include fuselages, pylons, nacelles and wing components, with a focus on innovative composite and aluminum manufacturing solutions.

Requirements

  • 2-5 years of relevant experience
  • Candidates must be able to obtain and maintain a DoD Security Clearance
  • Successful candidates must be able to secure Program Access approval
  • High School Diploma or GED

Nice To Haves

  • Mid-Level (Level 3): 5+ years of related work experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Bachelor's Degree
  • Familiarity with Lean principles such as Value Stream Mapping, Just-In-Time, Demand Flow, Single Piece Flow, Five S’s, Visual Management, Total Productive Maintenance, Continuous Improvement Process, Kaizen, SPC, Six Sigma and Communication Tools, Statistical Problem Solving, ISO, AS-91000, ISO-14001 or similar
  • High energy, dynamic personality with an ability to effect change
  • Able to interface comfortably with all levels of management
  • Aircraft Experience
  • MS Office Skills
  • Data analytical abilities
  • Problem solving / decision making skills
  • Previous experience with Project Management
  • Communication Skills (both verbal and written)

Responsibilities

  • Determines the labor and machine resources required to accomplish production tasks
  • Uses time standards to establish, measure, monitor, and adjust the resource capacity limits or levels necessary to execute the production plan
  • Develops and uses time standards
  • Reports on capacity constraints that may hinder completion of the production planand provides methodologies to overcome those constraints
  • Performs detail shop scheduling and reporting to ensure production deliverables are completed to support downstream customers
