Meter Technician/Senior Meter Technician
About The Position
We are seeking one qualified individual to join our team as either a Meter Technician I or a Senior Meter Technician. This position is responsible for the installation, testing, and maintenance of the Cooperative's electric meters to ensure system accuracy and reliability. Which Level Are You? METER TECHNICIAN I: Best for those with a High School Diploma and 2+ years of utility experience looking to develop technical skills in meter calibration and wiring. SENIOR METER TECHNICIAN: Best for those with 6+ years of experience or technical schooling. Requires advanced knowledge of revenue/billing meters, system programming, and the ability to mentor other technicians.
Requirements
- Strong basic math and electrical knowledge.
- Ability to read schematics and wiring layouts.
- Valid Texas Driver's License and clean driving record.
- Ability to perform "Heavy Level" physical work and travel within our 17-county territory.
- Willingness to work overtime during emergencies.
