We are currently seeking a Meter Supervisor to join and lead our Metering Department in the Robstown/Calallen, TX office. This role is ideal for a skilled and detail-oriented professional who can maintain and optimize our system in a fast-paced environment. Requirements

  • Associate or bachelor's degree in a relevant field, 5 years of experience, or an equivalent combination of education, experience in electric/electronic circuitry, components, and diagrams, and possess related certifications.
  • Must have the aptitude and willingness to become knowledgeable with AMI or have experience with installing, exchanging, and verifying electric utility self-contained and instrument metering systems and equipment.
  • Experience in effectively planning and scheduling the work of others, based on required skill sets and work priorities, is essential.
  • Must have demonstrated leadership and supervisory skills.
  • Hands-on experience with software, hardware, device installation, configuration, and troubleshooting.

Nice To Haves

  • Bachelor degree in a relevant discipline, 5 years of experience, or an equivalent combination of education, experience in electric/electronic circuitry, components, and diagrams.
  • Valid Class C Texas Driver's License
  • Additional relevant certifications are highly desirable.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee the metering program, including supervising personnel for meter installation, testing, and repairs. Maintain and update accurate records and logs of all meter activities in compliance with NEC policies and industry standards.
  • Manage Distribution Automation systems, coordinate implementation, deployment and maintenance.
  • Manage the SCADA system database, hardware, and related software programs. Ensure proper password management, monitor communications for operational issues, and initiate field verification or testing as needed.
  • Manage distributed energy resources, including load control for 4CP mitigation and technical review of member solar installations. Approve installations and communicate with members and contractors.
  • Oversee generator sales, installation, and maintenance programs. Ensure appropriate pricing and manage functional testing and documentation of instrument metering equipment. Update billing systems with necessary corrections.
