About The Position

Element has an opportunity for a Metallurgy Technician whose primary responsibility is to perform routine, metallurgy operations on aerospace components. The technician will be responsible for preparing metallurgical replicas from these components by using handheld sanding and polishing tools.
Salary: $22- $26/hr DOE

Requirements

• Degree/Diploma in Science preferred
• 2-4 years of experience working in the field of material testing or equivalent
• Good knowledge on international standards and codes
• Excellent report writing skill
• Good communication skills

Responsibilities

• Perform routine metallurgical testing on aerospace parts
• Use of hand tools to sand and polish
• Use of chemicals to etch and reveal microstructure
• Ensure work compliance to ISO 17025 requirements
• Coordinating with the technicians in the team to carry out work as per the planning schedule
