About The Position

Position Description: At Nevada Gold Mines, our vision is to be the world’s most valued gold mining business by finding, developing and operating the best assets with the best people. Our people division is growing, and we are looking for a Metallurgical Technician at our Cortez operations. Under the supervision of the metallurgist, the metallurgical technician will carry out all necessary tests for quality control and improvements projects in the processing facilities, including the mill and heap leach. To provide analytical data, monitor and maintain equipment for the metallurgical department to ensure parameters are being met in the processing plant. Requirements

• Understands sampling protocols and importance of representative slurry and solution sampling
• Able to prioritize and manage projects and tasks
• Proficiency in multiple software application and network platforms required
• Excellent interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills required
• Demonstrates ability and competency to maintain, calibrate, and troubleshoot various sampling equipment
• Demonstrated ability to perform essential function of the position required

Nice To Haves

• Minimum two years as a mill operator preferred
• Minimum two years experience in a lab , a metallurgical lab is highly preferred

Responsibilities

• Adhere to safety protocol in the processing facilities, metallurgical and assay lab.
• Demonstrates ability and competency to perform met lab sample preparation and test work.
• Be able to submit documents for test work as well as collaborate with different sites and departments.
• Assist in planning, conducting, and participating in trials, projects, and audits.
• Required to collect data to ensure metallurgical parameters are being achieved.
• Good understanding of gold milling and heap leach processes.
• Able to write reports and keep team updated.
• Other duties as assigned
