Requirements

High School Diploma or equivalent
Manufacturing/Metal Fabrication experience preferred
Flexible and able to multi-task; can work with an ambiguous, fast-moving environment, while also driving toward clarity and solutions.
Lift objects up to 50 pounds throughout the day.
Perform repetitive work for up to 10 hours per day
Wear required personal protective equipment (PPE).

Responsibilities

Grinds out burrs and sharp edges, using hand tools and portable grinders.
Finish part to specification critical surfaces with hand tools portable grinders, Timesaver, and Loewer.
Strong understanding of blueprint reading/ geometric tolerancing interpretation.
Studies and interprets drawings, manuals, specifications, or sample parts to determine the finish condition of work pieces, sequence of operations, and set up requirements.
Responsible for keeping equipment and work area clean and orderly and performing basic preventative maintenance (Lubricate) functions on equipment.
Observe machine operation to detect malfunction such as worn or damaged finishing tools.
Transact all appropriate labor and materials required for the job into M1.
Communicate with management, production control, quality, and other shop personnel for assignments and to resolve machining or quality issues.
