About The Position
Apache Workforce is hiring experienced Messer Machine Operators to support precision cutting and fabrication in a heavy industrial manufacturing environment. This role focuses on operating CNC-controlled Messer cutting equipment to produce high-quality steel components used in large-scale industrial systems. This is a skilled role requiring strong mechanical aptitude, the ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings, and hands-on experience in a fast-paced fabrication shop environment.
Requirements
- Minimum 2 years of fabrication, CNC machine operation, or related experience
- Strong mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings
- Experience with CNC cutting equipment
- Ability to nest work orders or willingness to learn nesting processes
- Basic computer skills for production tracking and documentation
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality
- Ability to work in a fast-paced industrial environment
- Good communication skills and ability to work in a team setting

Responsibilities
- Setting up and operating Messer CNC cutting machines for production runs
- Loading raw materials and adjusting machine settings for optimal cutting performance
- Performing routine maintenance and basic troubleshooting to minimize downtime
- Reading and interpreting blueprints, work orders, and technical drawings
- Nesting work orders to maximize material usage and reduce waste
- Monitoring cutting operations to ensure accuracy, quality, and efficiency
- Inspecting finished parts to verify specifications and tolerances
- Operating overhead cranes or material handling equipment as needed
- Maintaining accurate production logs, machine settings, and material documentation
- Assisting with material inventory audits and tracking usage
- Keeping work areas clean and following 5S and safety standards
- Supporting additional fabrication and production tasks as assigned
