About The Position

This position is responsible for ensuring that MES related services and procedures are implemented, maintained and properly executed. This includes a good understanding of production processes, IT infrastructure, as well as a close collaboration with other departments. Support is also required after hours.

Requirements

  • College diploma or university graduation, and a minimum of 5 years in the related field.

  • Previous experience with the InSequence MES system.
  • Experience with supporting a Microsoft Active Directory environment (user accounts, file shares, permissions, group memberships, login scripts, batch script processing, etc.).
  • Experience with supporting smartphone/tablet integration to corporate messaging services (including iPhone/iPad, Android phone/tablet).
  • Experience with coordinating global teleconference/web conference/online collaboration meetings, using tools such as Teams.
  • Experience with ERP systems and their integration with MES.
  • Experience with SQL and database management.
  • Experience with RF guns and warehouse management systems.
  • Software licensing, installation and configuration for all systems.
  • Demonstrated ability to analyze problems and develop appropriate solutions in order to assist in troubleshooting problems.
  • Demonstrated basic understanding of Lean Manufacturing and other current techniques related to manufacturing.
  • Demonstrated strong interpersonal skills to influence decisions that affect assigned projects.
  • Demonstrated strong communication skills in order to communicate with other functional areas both internally and externally for successful completion of projects.
  • Ability to provide 24 x 7 support.
  • Must be able to lift up to 35 lbs. as needed.
  • Must be able to stand, walk, bend, and sit for extended periods of time.
  • Must maintain proper vision requirements
  • Must be able to maintain alertness to their surroundings.
  • Must have a current and valid Driver’s License.

Nice To Haves

  • Previous technical experience in the following areas are positives: LAN/WAN, Secure Wireless LAN, IT/OT Security, Office365, Messaging, Linux/Windows Operations Systems, VoIP, VMWare, NetApp storage, Azure/AWS, managed disk encryption.
  • Familiarity with Industry 4.0 concepts and IoT technologies.

Responsibilities

  • Create procedures and documentation for various systems.
  • Maintain clear and accurate records of MES systems, configurations, and network topologies.
  • Review and ensure all documents, reports, and communications are accurate, complete, and well-organized.
  • Support, coordinate, and administer the implementation of InSequence MES processes and functions to enable production accuracy and success.
  • Provide ongoing support and troubleshooting for the InSequence MES applications to ensure minimal downtime and optimal performance.
  • Maintain data integrity and security within the InSequence MES applications.
  • Propose and implement continuous improvement initiatives to enhance InSequence MES capabilities and manufacturing processes.
  • Installation and configuration of the MES solution (incl. infrastructure, database, archiving, etc.).
  • Troubleshoot problems reported by users through email, phone call, face-to-face, and the Matrix42 helpdesk system.
  • Treat fellow employees with dignity, trust and respect.
