About The Position

The M&A Associate / Sr. Associate supports the company’s growth strategy through the identification, evaluation, execution, and integration of mergers, acquisitions, investments, and strategic partnerships. This role is responsible for financial analysis, due diligence coordination, transaction execution support, and post-close integration planning. The position works cross-functionally with finance, legal, tax, HR, IT, and business unit leaders to ensure transactions are strategically sound, financially accretive, and successfully integrated. This position will offer flexibility for hybrid work schedules to include both in-office presence and telecommute/virtual work to be based in Dallas, TX.

Requirements

  • For Associate: BA/BS plus at least 4 years of relevant experience or demonstrated equivalency of experience and/or education.
  • For Sr. Associate: BA/BS plus at least 6 years of relevant experience, or demonstrated equivalency of experience and/or education.
  • Some minimal travel required.
  • Candidate must be highly analytical and have an in-depth knowledge of accounting, finance, and valuation.

Nice To Haves

  • Project management experience particularly within integrations work
  • Financial modeling skills (including usage of CapIQ or Factset plug-ins) is a plus.
  • Exceptional Power Point and MS Excel skills.
  • Self-motivated, possessing a strong work ethic and the ability to work independently.
  • Strong communication skills (oral & written) in order to interact with internal and external parties.
  • Buy-side acquisition experience is a plus.

Responsibilities

  • Strategic M&A Planning: Evaluate the competitive landscape and assist in development of M&A plan to advance the strategic initiatives of the Company. This will also include profiling and monitoring top targets.
  • Target Evaluation: Analyze operational and financial information of potential targets. Prepare multiple valuation analyses (comparables, DCF, IRR, merger, accretion/dilution, etc.) to support executive decision making.
  • Transaction Execution: Project management responsibilities to coordinate an entire transaction. This will include managing due diligence, internal functional team review (finance & accounting, HR, IT, legal, tax), and approval processes.
  • Transaction Integration: Project management responsibilities to coordinate post-transaction integration activities. This includes coordinating integration planning and execution, aligning cross-functional teams (finance & accounting, HR, IT, legal, tax, operations), tracking synergy realization, coordinating Day 1 and Day 100 readiness, tracking integration milestones, and ensuring successful operational, cultural, and systems alignment to achieve the intended transaction value.
  • Presentation: Prepare investment thesis presentations summarizing conclusions and recommendations to present to executive management and the Board.
  • Perform a variety of other ad hoc projects for senior management.
