About The Position

Our global Finance mission is to deliver accurate, timely, consistent, and insightful financial and operational guidance that supports informed decision-making and advances EY’s strategic objectives. Finance delivers a broad range of services across the firm. The US Account Support finance team partners closely with client-serving professionals to support complex account decisions, annual planning, financial performance management, engagement margin improvement, and investment decisions. As a Mercury Business Advisor Senior Associate, you will join the internal Finance team while gaining exposure to EY’s client-facing service lines, including Assurance, Tax, Consulting, and Strategy. In this role, you will serve as a trusted financial advisor to an assigned portfolio of partners, ensuring high standards of financial management and performance. As a Mercury Business Advisor Senior Associate, you will support client-serving teams in managing external engagements from a financial performance perspective. Your role includes proactive financial advisory support throughout the engagement lifecycle, as well as on-demand guidance as needed. You will be aligned by service line and provide support in person or virtually within a conducive time-zone environment. Through comprehensive training, you will develop end-to-end expertise in the Mercury (SAP) finance system, processes, and policies. You will advise engagement teams on effective system usage to achieve targeted financial outcomes. You will manage a portfolio of engagements of varying complexity, supporting senior leaders with financial analysis, pricing strategies, budget-to-actual reviews, and billing strategies. You will also serve as the primary point of contact for client-related financial insights and compliance with EY finance and quality policies.

  • Ability to manage time effectively across multiple stakeholders and priorities
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Word, with the ability to quickly learn new systems
  • Adaptability and effectiveness as a change agent
  • A minimum of two years of experience in a client-driven professional environment performing financial analysis and providing recommendations
  • Bachelor’s degree in finance, accounting, or a related field, or equivalent relevant experience
  • Strong written and verbal English communication skills
  • Flexibility to work additional hours during peak periods, including limited time off during the June fiscal year-end close

  • The base salary range for this job in all geographic locations in the US is $64,200 to $116,400.
  • The base salary range for New York City Metro Area, Washington State and California (excluding Sacramento) is $77,000 to $132,300.
  • Individual salaries within those ranges are determined through a wide variety of factors including but not limited to education, experience, knowledge, skills and geography.
