About The Position

Merchant Funding Specialist The Merchant Funding Specialist is responsible for engaging existing American First Finance merchants via phone to enhance utilization and improve performance. This role works closely with merchants, sales teams, technology partners, and internal stakeholders to strengthen merchant relationships. It requires a customer-focused mindset, strong communication skills, and a proactive, solution-oriented approach. The pace is fast, ideal for a driven, efficient, and collaborative individual who can also work independently. Deliver a first-class customer experience that reflects AFF’s Core Values. Requirements

  • High school diploma (additional education is a plus)
  • At least 3 years of experience in operations, financial services, or merchant services
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Outlook, Word, and Excel
  • Strong time management, organizational, and analytical skills
  • Excellent verbal and written communication
  • Goal-oriented and persuasive
  • Detail-oriented with strong process focus

Nice To Haves

  • College degree
  • Bilingual in English and Spanish
  • Experience in tele-sales
  • Background in consumer finance
  • Experience in dealer retention and relationship management

Responsibilities

  • Provide prompt, high-quality service for all inbound merchant communications
  • Conduct outbound calls to drive merchant performance and engagement
  • Accurately document interactions in Sugar CRM
  • Share merchant feedback with AFF management
  • Prioritize tasks to ensure efficient merchant support
  • Resolve merchant requests submitted via Sugar CRM
  • Manage updated agreements based on new terms
  • Maintain expert knowledge of product/program terms and merchant settings
  • Update merchant profiles with changes to contact, banking, or risk data
  • Coordinate merchant training when needed
  • Support dealer receivable balance management
  • Administer merchant incentive programs
  • Facilitate funding support for existing merchants
  • Perform other duties as assigned
