Our 11-week Summer Internship Program is the perfect way to gain work experience within the core of the organization. Position Objective: The Merchandising Intern will assist the merchandising team with the development and execution of departmental seasonal strategies, maintenance of assortment sheets and compiling of reports. The intern will support the team with the purchase order process, preparation for key PLC meetings and maintenance of samples. The intern will develop a clear understanding of the customer and the competition and assists through the entire product life cycle process. Functional Responsibilities: • Be exposed to the total business processes and procedures • Gain an understanding of the roles of the retail professionals • Assist with special projects as assigned Program Details: • The Chico's FAS Summer Internship Program welcomes the classes of 2026 and 2027 college students to work with several of our brands (Chico's, Soma, and White House Black Market) to kick-start their career in retail. This immersive experience offers interns the opportunity to work hands-on with their department and receive professional development opportunities including executive chats, professional workshops, store visits, etc., and participation in a collaborative team project. • Applicants to this position must be authorized to work for any employer in the US without sponsorship now or in the future. Nice To Haves
- An eye for trend and passion for the fashion / retail industry
- Experience working in Excel (Pivot Tables, V Lookups)
- Exposure to weekly selling reports and costing
- Junior or Senior status at an accredited college or university with minimum GPA of 3.0
- Interest in pursuing a career in retail
- Strong communication, organizational skills, and an eagerness to learn
