The MEP Project Coordinator will support mechanical engineers in a reputable MEP Engineering firm, focusing on design and drafting while collaborating in a cross-discipline environment. The role involves assisting project teams in producing engineering drawings and project documents, particularly in prominent sectors such as healthcare, laboratories, airports, education, and large commercial projects.

  • Support Project Managers and Site Supervisors in developing and maintaining the project schedule.
  • Maintain and update document control logs and follow project management procedures including change orders and close out documents.
  • Provide status updates on work in progress and assist with project forecasting.
  • Coordinate equipment and material deliveries and oversee sub-trades.
  • Maintain records of materials used and progress made on the job according to company guidelines.
  • Proactively identify potential problems and schedule delays and bring them to management's attention.
  • Related Mechanical Engineering post-secondary education.
  • Minimum of two (2) years related experience, with trade experience being a definite asset.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office (Outlook, Excel, Word), AutoCAD, and MS Project.
  • Experience analyzing and understanding mechanical construction drawings and working on commercial projects.
  • Background in Contract Administration.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
