As an MEP Engineer at Turner Construction Co., you will play a crucial role in managing, evaluating, and assessing information related to Mechanical and Electrical systems necessary for the successful construction of projects. Your primary responsibility will be to ensure that projects are completed on time, within budget, and to the quality specified by the contract documents. You will lead the project team, including subcontractors and owner's consultants, to ensure optimal alignment and efficient systems installation. In this position, you will prepare and manage the contract item's list for all components, materials, and systems, ensuring compliance with project schedules and approval statuses. You will participate in schedule update meetings, providing the latest information to maintain an informed and accurate schedule. Additionally, you will evaluate and manage the processing of Requests for Information (RFIs) and oversee the budget, including the review and negotiation of change orders while understanding the financial status of subcontractors. Your role will also involve supervising, coaching, and mentoring Assistant MEP Engineers, co-leading the MEP Coordination Process with the VDC Engineer, and preparing scope of work documents. You will partner with the MEP Superintendent to resolve conflicts between mechanical and electrical systems and co-lead the turnover process, including start-up, testing, commissioning, and closeout. Regular project walkthroughs will be conducted to ensure compliance with contract documents and approved submittals, and you will manage all municipal and agency documentation required for temporary certificates of information and system operation. Finally, you will create and implement a quality control plan in collaboration with the MEP Superintendent.
