About The Position

If you're studying, planning to study, or working in psychology, behavioral science, social work, or a related field, we have the perfect opportunity for you at Embark at Hurricane! Embark at Hurricane - Stabilization and Assessment is a residential treatment center that provides a nurturing, home-like atmosphere for highly acute adolescent males and their families. We specialize in addressing complex issues such as traumatic stress, family dynamics, relationship challenges, and mental health concerns, all with a focus on family-centered healing.

Requirements

  • 21 years old or older
  • Experience in Behavioral Health or a related field is preferred
  • Current driver's license and a good driving record
  • Ability to learn and perform CPR and First-Aid.
  • Skill in de-escalating agitated students.
  • Ability to pass a Utah State background check
  • Willing to get Food Handlers Permit before first day of work

  • Experience in Behavioral Health or a related field

Responsibilities

  • Walking clients through their day-to-day activities.
  • Collaborate with therapists to implement interventions aligned with each client's treatment plan.
  • Relaying any pertinent information over to the treatment team
  • Consistent and thorough documentation and reporting
  • Crisis prevention and management
  • Maintaining a safe environment for clients
  • Daily light housekeeping; sweeping, cleaning up/putting things away, dishes, etc.
  • Contribute to meal preparation while promoting healthy eating habits.
  • Attend and engage in group sessions with clients, fostering a sense of community.
