The Mentor is responsible for supporting students through the program to obtain their high school diploma. Prepares students for academic and non-academic success by keeping them informed about pertinent information, tools, and resources. Acts as a retention specialist, builds rapport, helps remove barriers, and motivates students to meet their academic progress. A mentor plays a crucial role in helping students overcome obstacles and rediscover the value of education, contributing to their long-term success. Although this is a remote position, it requires in person meetings and participation in staff and student events. The Key Performance Indicator (KPI) that measures the Mentors' efficacy and successfulness is the credits earned rate (CER). Success in this position is defined by maintaining an average of 0.5 monthly credit earned rate for a student roster.
