Provide therapeutic day treatment for an assigned group of children/youth. Provide programmatic activities based on behavior management principles. Provide positive feedback, self-esteem building and social skills training. Provide training on impulse control, anger management, problem solving and/or conflict resolution. Follow outlined curriculum for Day Treatment activities. Assist in developing therapeutic, age appropriate, developmentally appropriate activities and strategies. Assist in the development of each child/youth’s Individual Service Plan (ISP). Include the involvement of child/youth’s family (or designee) as often as possible, but not less than twice/month. Maintain a permanent roster for program. Maintain monthly Master Schedule at location which includes, at a minimum, the specific skill areas being addressed each day and the specific times these skill areas are being addressed. Maintain monthly documentation of plans for transitioning child/youth to a less intensive therapeutic service (in ISP and/or case staffing). Submits and maintains prior authorizations for care and continuation of care for children/youth on permanent roster. Supervises Day Treatment Assistant to ensure curriculum is being carried out and services are rendered as outlined. Displays good working knowledge of the goals of center administration and works to meet these goals. Completes documentation for all client activities, on the same day the services are provided unless prior authorization is given to delay the documentation, but not later than 10 AM the following morning. Provides therapeutic services for assigned caseload.
