About The Position

Mental Health Therapist Outpatient Substance Use Disorders Job Type: Full-time / Exempt Location: Muskegon, MI Hackley Community Care (HCC) is a Federally Qualified Health Center dedicated to providing compassionate, high-quality, integrated health services to the residents of Muskegon County. Under the direct supervision of the Mental Health Director, the Mental Health Therapist delivers counseling services to HCC patients and provides direct care in both mental health and addiction treatment. This role works closely with a multidisciplinary team, including physicians and mid-level providers, to support whole-person care. Substance Use Disorder Focus: The Therapist will apply strong clinical skills to treat substance use disorders and provide mental health counseling, including prevention and education related to addiction. This position requires accurate, timely documentation within the electronic health record. Current Advanced Alcohol and Drug Counselor Certification (CAADC) is required. Requirements

  • Master’s degree from an accredited Social Work or Professional Counseling program
  • Active, in-good-standing Michigan licensure (LMSW or LPC)
  • Current CAADC certification
  • BLS/CPR certification or willingness to train
  • Experience providing mental health therapy, including diagnosing and treating mental health conditions
  • Professional communication skills with patients, staff, and healthcare providers
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively
  • Strong interpersonal skills and ability to maintain confidentiality
  • Comfort working with diverse populations
