About The Position

Join the fastest-growing outpatient mental health practice in Northern Virginia! We have immediate openings for Resident in Counseling and LPC therapists: Offer guaranteed pay for the initial 4 weeks as you ramp your caseload Provide Clinical supervision by VA state-licensed LPC at no cost to you Ability to provide different types of therapy (individual, couples, play, etc) We have a wide variety of patients for great exposure to new clinical experiences Awesome leadership team focused on supporting you and your growth Flexible hours, some evenings included. Requirements

  • Candidates are required to have at least a master’s degree in one of the behavioral sciences or related fields from an accredited college or university
  • Required to be a licensed mental health professional or have Resident in Counseling in the state of Virginia.
  • Experience with children, adolescents, and teens.
  • Experience with completing psychosocial assessments, treatment plans and clinical case notes
  • Comfort and familiarity working with a diverse client base
  • Ability to demonstrate and model stable, appropriate boundaries with clients
  • Ability to complete and submit documentation of services and other documents in a timely manner
  • Adept at learning and navigating Electronic Health Record (EHR) systems
  • If planning to engage in tele-health from home, having a home office that is professional, private, and HIPAA-compliant

Nice To Haves

  • Prefer EMDR experience
  • Prefer experience with children, adolescents, and teens
  • Preferred experience with couples and families
  • Ideal candidates will have a general knowledge of therapy services, community resources, insurance billing

Responsibilities

  • Evaluate mental health diagnosis, create and implement a treatment plan, and complete ongoing clinical documentation including further diagnosis, treatment plan reviews, and clinical case notes according to company policy
  • Maintain a caseload of 25 client sessions seen per week
  • Provide excellent customer service for clients and collaborate with a dynamic team to further the mission of filling gaps in our community
  • Utilize creativity in interventions to help clients achieve and exceed goals
  • Coordinate services with case managers, families, work personnel, medical personnel, other Ellie staff, and school staff as needed
  • Attend and participate in all clinical staff meetings and training
  • Other stuff we probably forgot to add but just as meaningful and important to your role ;)
