About The Position

Trauma Specialists of Maryland is a values-based community of helping professionals working to provide effective, evidence-based trauma treatment to enhance the mental well-being of children, adults, families, and couples in our community. We are a highly skilled, fun, dynamic, and collaborative group of clinicians who value working together to treat the impact of trauma on our communities. Clinical therapists provide outpatient, individual, family, and group therapy to patients of Trauma Specialists of Maryland, LLC with locations in Downtown Frederick, Urbana, and Ballenger Creek, MD. Clinical therapy services include treatment of adults, adolescents, couples and families. Clinicians should have EMDR basic training or be willing to get the training shortly after being hired. Other treatment modalities such as IFS, DBT, Neurofeedback are also encouraged. Requirements

  • Master’s Degree or Doctoral Degree in counseling or social work
  • Active, unrestricted license (LCPC, LCSW-C, LMSW, LGPC, PhD, PsyD, LCPAT, or LCMFT in the State of Maryland.)
  • Available to hold at least 25 patient sessions per week, provided such sessions are available and referred/scheduled by Trauma Specialists.
  • Experience in treatment planning and excellent documentation.
  • Be compassionate, inclusive, self-motivated, and relatable (a great sense of humor is a plus!)
  • Have a desire to treat trauma effectively.
  • Clinicians should have EMDR basic training or be willing to get the training shortly after being hired.

Nice To Haves

  • Prior experience in a private practice setting.
  • Have a specialization in treating trauma.
  • Current approval as an in-network provider with BCBS (or ability to be paneled) and other insurance providers.
  • Experience and/or certification in art therapy.
