About The Position

The incumbent is accountable for the provision of direct concurrent mental health and addictions services to adults and their families. These services include case management, individual and group counselling and public educations/consultation in the area of mental health and addictions. The incumbent shall apply recovery principles and function within practices of Mental Health and Addictions program management model. Requirements

  • 2 years working experience in community mental health and addictions services
  • Degree in Nursing or relevant Health Sciences Degree acceptable to the Employer
  • Bachelor of Psychiatric Nursing is acceptable
  • Nursing diploma is acceptable
  • Bachelor of Nursing is acceptable
  • Bachelor of Social Work is acceptable
  • Knowledge in Mental Health and Addictions
  • Knowledge in Developmental Model of Recovery
  • Knowledge of Sask Model of Recovery Services and motivational assessment process
  • Above avg. clinical assessment,case planning, consultation & supervision skills
  • Knowledge of how addictions impacts the individual, community and families
  • Work co-operatively/effectively with other staff members/external partners
  • Ability to facilitate educational and skill development groups
  • Ability to be self-directed, creative, collaborative and to have sound judgement
  • Ability to travel when required
  • Ability and willingness work evenings/weekends as required
  • Can work flexible hours; ability to work shifts based on operational needs
  • Registered/eligible for registration with the appropriate licensing body
