Exciting Opportunity: Join Our Team as a Mental Health Therapist at CRCSI! Position: Full-Time Group Therapist (Mental Health Therapist) Location: New Directions K-12 Private Academic School and Child Partial Hospitalization Program, Connellsville, PA Are you passionate about making a positive impact on the lives of children and adolescents? Chestnut Ridge Counseling Services, Inc. (CRCSI) is looking for a dedicated Mental Health Therapist to join our team and provide group therapy at our New Directions program. What You'll Do: As a Group Therapist, you'll play a crucial role in helping children and adolescents achieve their mental health and educational goals. Your responsibilities will include: Daily Group Therapy: Conduct engaging and impactful group therapy sessions for your assigned caseload. Behavioral Interventions: Implement individualized interventions in the classroom to support each child's treatment plan. Symptom Alleviation: Work towards reducing mental health symptoms to improve functioning at home, in the community, and at school. K-12 Services: Provide essential mental health services to children in grades K-12. Program Goals: Therapeutic Environment: Create a supportive space where children can receive mental health treatment while pursuing their educational objectives. Preventive Care: Help prevent the need for higher levels of care, such as inpatient psychiatric hospitalization and Residential Treatment Facility (RTF) placements. Step-Down Services: Facilitate a smooth transition from inpatient hospitals or RTFs, reducing the length of stays in higher levels of care. Educational Support: Operate a Pennsylvania Department of Education Licensed Private Academic School for students from surrounding school districts. Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in a human service field.
- PA State Criminal, Child Abuse Certification, and FBI Clearances
Nice To Haves
- One + year mental health experience preferred
